AGNES SLACK SIGNED THE TEMPERANCE PLEDGE IN 1883, WHICH SET THE FOUNDATIONS FOR HER LIFE’S WORK DURING WHICH SHE  TRAVELLED OVER 200,000 MILES FOR TEMPERANCE ACROSS FOUR CONTINENTS. AGNES KEPT THOROUGH SCRAPBOOKS FROM THE PLACES SHE TRAVELLED TO, WHICH FORM THE BASIS OF THIS COLLECTION.

 

THE MATERIAL IN THIS COLLECTION DATES FROM 1893 TO 1933 AND INCLUDES PERSONAL SCRAPBOOKS FROM HER TRAVELS, AND ALBUMS OF AUTOGRAPHS AND ‘REMEMBRANCES’
