Back in January this year we were selected to take part in the Asda green token scheme at our local store in Shirley Parkgate.
Each month, three charities and deserving organisations are chosen to receive green token nominations by shoppers in their local Asda supermarket. Whoever receives the most nominations is presented with a £200 donation towards their organisation; each runner up receives £50. After our community work with Asda at the end of last year, we were thrilled to have been recommended for the scheme.
Although we didn’t receive the most green tokens, we were incredibly grateful to receive a £50 donation towards our work. Last week, Vickki and Alison went down to Asda Shirley Parkgate where Community Champion Sandra Grice presented us with a cheque.
