Our Key Stage 3-4 Tobacco Awareness Work Pack includes everything you need to help your students make healthy decisions about tobacco use.
Your work pack is delivered in a convenient folder and includes:
Facilitator booklet (containing three awareness sessions)
Activities booklet (sheets which can be photocopied for your sessions)
Overview sheet (a summary of all the sessions which can be photocopied and distributed to your students)
Memory stick (containing accompanying PowerPoint presentation)
Session One: Understanding tobacco
Focussing on: what is tobacco; what’s in tobacco; the law on smoking; the body and appearance; the benefits of quitting; second hand smoke
Session Two: The price to pay for smoking
Focussing on: how much does tobacco cost; the business of tobacco; consequences for the environment; being pressured to smoke
Session Three: E-Cigarettes and shisha
Focussing on: what are e-cigarettes; the law on e-cigarettes; are e-cigarettes safe; what is shisha; the law on shisha; what are the risks of using shisha
The three sessions within this work pack are designed to last approximately 50 minutes. This is a guideline only, and can be adjusted during discussion/activity time. The sessions can be delivered standalone, but students will benefit from the experience of partaking in each session.
